Educational School Group Tour
An interactive experience aimed at a younger audience.
About the Tour
With a team of knowledgeable and friendly tour guides, our interactive school group tour is perfect for getting kids out of the classroom and engaged in the real history of Canterbury and England.
During the 45-minute tour, our guides get the kids involved in acting out and retelling the history of the Archbishop of Canterbury, Thomas Becket’s infamous murder in the Cathedral, as well as the tale of Henry VIII and his six wives!
With a great sense of humour, patience, and passion, our tour is a fantastic way to get your students practicing their English and giving them a unique insight into English culture and history.
Please email info@canterburyrivertours.co.uk to book a tour for a school group. Minimum 10 children. One teacher/group leader/supervisor per boat goes free of charge.
Group Information
If you are a group of 10 or more people, please book in advance so that we can reserve the necessary amount of boats. Our boats can seat up to 12 people, so we may have to split your group across several boats, if required.
Please remember to arrive 15 minutes before your tour is scheduled to depart so that we have time to organise the boats and ensure your time with us is as smooth and as relaxed as possible. Our tours last 45 minutes, so please allow an hour’s slot of your schedule for our tour.
